Domestic terrorism refers to acts of terrorism that occur within the borders of a single country and are carried out by individuals or groups operating within that country. 

The term "terrorism" generally involves the use of violence, intimidation, or the threat of violence to create fear and achieve political, ideological, religious, or social objectives. 

When this type of violence occurs within a nation's own borders and is perpetrated by individuals or groups with a connection to that country, it is labeled as domestic terrorism. 

Typical groups listed on the Domestic Terrorist list include White nationalists, anti-government groups, and hate groups, with 89% being radiclized from the far-right wing faction of the Republican Party and Right Wing news sources.

Their funding is coming from dark money and Russian ties.

 Stochastic terrorism is a term used to describe a situation in which individuals or small groups incite or inspire others to carry out acts of violence or terrorism through indirect means. 

1. Dissemination: This refers to the initial stage where a message or narrative is disseminated. 
2. Delegitimization: In this stage, the message often seeks to vilify a particular individual. It aims to create a perception that the target is a threat or enemy.
3. Disruption: The message may call for action against the target, and it may implicitly or explicitly suggest that violence or radical actions are necessary to address the perceived threat.
4. Direct attack: This is the final stage, where an individual or group, influenced by the disseminated message, carries out a direct attack or act of violence against the targeted group or individuals. The person or group committing the violent act may have interpreted the message as a call to action.

A "lone wolf" refers to an individual who carries out violent or extremist activities independently. 

Key characteristics of a lone wolf include:

1. Independence: Lone wolves act on their own. They may be inspired by ideologies, beliefs, or grievances.
2. Autonomy: Lone wolves make decisions independently, including planning and executing attacks. They may be self-radicalized and motivated by personal grievances or extremist ideologies.
3. Isolation: Lone wolves typically operate in relative isolation.
4. Harder to Predict: They are more unpredictable than individuals involved in coordinated group activities. 
5. Lone wolf attacks can be motivated by various factors, including political ideologies, religious beliefs, or personal grievances. Efforts to counter lone wolf terrorism often involve monitoring online activities, identifying radicalization indicators, and enhancing community awareness.
